Cup of tea??

The woollen jumper felted up quite well after a long hot wash and a spin in the dryer. It shrank by about 50% I estimate.

Here it is made up into a recycled woollen jumper tea cosy. I hope it does the job.

I'm amazed at how well the jumper felted up. You've done a great job with the tea cosy - it looks fantastic. I'm sure it will keep the tea hot!

Love, Nana Jan.

I am so impressed - was going to send a few old jumpers to vinnies but might try my hand at felting instead.

Hi Pip, yes very easy, give it a go. I have heard of people who felt an adult size cardigan into a child size one then do a bit of embellishment etc...then you have a gorgeous kid's felt cardie.

Great idea to make a felt jumper - need lots of winter woollies here. Was thinking a felt hat like on one of those blogs you have a link to.
Anyway I just love the concept of sitting on the lounge while the washing machine makes something for me ; )
